Bio:  Rev. Jacqueline A. Strothoff

In the winter of 1974, after spending twelve years of her life addicted to drugs, enduring several commitments to psychiatric hospitals, engaging in a variety of criminal activities (with several arrests leading to incarceration), and participating in every type of rehabilitation effort that was presented to her, Jacqueline Strothoff had a personal life-changing encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ.

She accepted Him as her personal Savior while confined in a psychiatric hospital. Upon her release, she entered New Life For Girls, a one-year Christian residential discipleship program in Dover, Pennsylvania. Graduation from the program was followed by ministerial training and Bible study at Rev. David Wilkerson’s Twin Oaks Leadership Academy in Lindale, Texas where she met her husband Bob. They spent the next several years working in Teen Challenge centers across the country and then settling in Springfield, Missouri to attend college.

In 1984 Jacqui earned her academic degree in Social Work from Southwest Missouri State University. The next four years were spent in the suburb of Washington, D.C. where she was employed as Program Coordinator for Victims of Sexual Abuse until the Lord opened a door for the Strothoffs to begin a new ministry in Rhode Island.

For the next ten years, Jacqui ministered alongside her husband at Outreach Ministries Teen Challenge in Providence and Boston as the Executive Directors. This ministry included residential discipleship homes for men, and one for women, which Jacqui founded in 1995. She also conducted seminars for adult victims of sexual abuse and facilitated support groups for men and women who were dealing with the long-term effects of such issues, and was a popular speaker at women’s fellowship meetings, conferences, and seminars.

After moving to Pensacola, Florida in the summer of 1998, she and her husband established “In His Presence Ministries,” an evangelistic preaching, teaching, and counseling ministry, and God began to bless their new work. On August 14, 2000, her husband, Bob, suddenly went home to be with the Lord. Since then Jacqui has continued to follow the call of God on her life.

She is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God fellowship.

Jacqui’s son Justin, his wife Kimberly, and their sons, Jaxon, Bryson, and Owen live in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, where they serve the Lord in their church and private Christian school. Her daughter, Chelsea, lives in Garrison, New York, where she directs a ministry called Lioness and the Lamb, which is a residential home for women and their children.

Jacqui is currently residing between two locations: Rehoboth, MA, and Locust Grove, VA.
