An Evening of Worship, Testimony & the Heart of God for Families

Friday, October 9, 2026 | 7:00 PM
Doors Open at 6:30 PM

Join us for a special evening with Aaron Boyd, an accomplished worship leader, songwriter, storyteller, and minister who will be joining us on behalf of World Orphans.

This will be a night centered around worship, the faithfulness of God, powerful stories, and a deeper look at what it means to care for vulnerable children and families.

Aaron will lead us in worship, share from his own journey and testimony, and introduce us to the ministry of World Orphans and the work they are doing around the world to help families stay together.

Come expecting a meaningful night of worship, encouragement, and a fresh reminder of God’s heart for His people.

ONE NIGHT. ONE MISSION. FAMILIES TOGETHER.

At the heart of World Orphans is a simple but powerful belief:

Children belong in families.

Around the world, vulnerable families often face circumstances that can put children at risk of being separated from the people who love them. Poverty, displacement, lack of resources, and other difficult circumstances can create situations where families simply don’t have the support they need to remain together.

World Orphans works to change that.

Rather than simply responding after a child has become separated from their family, World Orphans focuses on family preservation—coming alongside vulnerable families and local churches to provide the support, resources, relationships, and practical care they need to thrive.

Their Home Based Care model works through local churches to care for vulnerable children and families within their own communities. That care can include physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual support, as well as education and economic empowerment.

The goal isn’t simply to provide temporary relief.

The goal is to help strengthen families so they can remain together and become more sustainable and independent.

WHY FAMILY PRESERVATION MATTERS

A child should not have to lose their family simply because their family is struggling.

World Orphans believes that the best place for a child to grow is within a safe, loving family. Their ministry works alongside local churches to identify vulnerable families, walk with them through difficult circumstances, and provide practical and spiritual support.

This approach recognizes that caring for a child also means caring for the family surrounding that child.

When a family is strengthened, a child is protected.

When a family is empowered, a child has an opportunity to thrive.

And when the local church steps into the lives of vulnerable families, the love of Jesus becomes tangible.

World Orphans describes this as holistic care—addressing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of children and families while helping provide opportunities for economic empowerment.

MEET AARON BOYD

Worship Leader. Songwriter. Storyteller. Minister.

We are honored to welcome Aaron Boyd for this special evening.

Aaron is a gifted worship leader and songwriter whose music has impacted people around the world. He is also known for writing “God of This City,” a song that became a widely recognized worship anthem nearly two decades ago.

But Aaron’s story goes far beyond a song.

His ministry is rooted in worship, testimony, and a desire to see people encounter the living God.

On October 9, Aaron will not simply be performing songs.

He will be leading us in worship, sharing his testimony and stories, and helping us understand the mission of World Orphans and why caring for vulnerable families matters.

Through music and storytelling, Aaron will help connect the heart of worship with the heart of God for people who are hurting, vulnerable, and in need of hope.

“GOD OF THIS CITY”

Many people remember Aaron through the powerful worship song “God of This City.”

The song became a significant worship anthem in the late 2000s and continues to be sung by churches and believers today.

Its message is simple but powerful: God is present, God is moving, and God has not abandoned His people or His cities.

That same heart will be part of this special evening.

Because worship isn’t simply about singing.

Worship is responding to who God is and allowing Him to move us toward what He cares about.

And God cares deeply about families.

He cares about children.

He cares about the vulnerable.

He cares about the hurting.

And He calls His Church to respond.

THE HEART BEHIND WORLD ORPHANS

World Orphans exists to help address the root causes that can lead to children becoming orphaned or separated from their families.

Their approach centers on partnering with local churches that are already serving vulnerable children and families in their communities.

Rather than replacing the family or the local church, World Orphans works to strengthen what is already there.

Their church partnerships are designed around relationships, mutual service, and a shared commitment to caring for vulnerable families and children.

This means practical help can meet spiritual care.

Food can meet prayer.

Education can meet discipleship.

Economic empowerment can meet encouragement.

And resources can meet relationship.

Because sometimes the greatest thing we can give a family is the support they need to keep their family together.

MORE THAN AN EVENT

This night is about more than gathering together for a concert.

It’s an opportunity to hear stories.

To worship together.

To be reminded of God’s faithfulness.

To learn about a ministry making a difference around the world.

And to ask ourselves a simple question:

What would it look like for the Church to step into the lives of vulnerable families?

World Orphans believes the local church has a unique role to play in strengthening families and caring for vulnerable children.

Their ministry creates opportunities for churches to work together across cultures and communities, building relationships that extend far beyond a single event or project.

COME HEAR THE STORIES

Some of the most powerful ministry moments happen when we stop talking about statistics and start hearing people’s stories.

World Orphans’ work has impacted children, caregivers, widows, refugees, and vulnerable families in communities around the world. Their ministry includes ongoing care, caregiver training, leadership development, church partnerships, and practical support designed to help families become stronger and more sustainable.

On October 9, you’ll have the opportunity to hear some of those stories and learn what God is doing through this ministry.

You may laugh.

You may worship.

You may be challenged.

You may be moved.

But above all, we pray you leave with a greater understanding of the heart of God for families.
