Grace Church of Fredericksburg uses photos, videos, and audio recording to document our events and ministries. We believe this gives members and non-members alike a better sense of who we are, what we believe in, and the God we serve. We share these media items on our website, social media, in print, and other locations.
Attending Grace events and services implies your acceptance that any of that media may be used by us for the purposes of sharing about our Church and activities.
We follow the following guidelines with regard to media:
- Media will not be accompanied by personally identifying information such as names, addresses, etc. unless the subject has been specifically asked and approves such information.
- Any person may request that media items be changed or removed. The church will consider all requests and will comply whenever possible. Please contact the church office to make your request. Please provide as much information as possible about which media item you are referring to.
- We will not knowingly post anything that would be embarrassing, objectionable or hurtful to anyone in the photo.
Please note that given the nature of social media, we may not be able to prevent others from “tagging” individuals in posts, images, etc. on these services.
If you wish to be excluded from photos or video, please inform the photographer or videographer of this. We train our media capture people to respect these requests when possible. Attendance at large gatherings may mean you still appear in the background of some material.
This information and policy does not apply to photos that might be taken and used by others at events and services.
For more information, please contact the church office or the communications team.
